Since its launch in June 2001, Ibda’a has attracted entries from all around the globe. Last year saw over 2,200 entries from over 20 different countries. This year is expected to be bigger than ever with attractive internship offers as well as awards from media giants like ARN, CNN, CNBC Arabia, Brash, Leo Burnett, Xische, MBC, Motivate Publishing, Nikon, Team Young & Rubicam and Zee Aflam.
This year’s awards will include road shows in colleges and universities for the finalists to display their work and interact with both, the media and the public. To extend its reach even further, Ibda’a Awards will make use of popular interactive platforms like Facebook and Twitter to disseminate all related updates.
In a bid to spread environmental awareness as well as to allow a wider participation, DMC has allowed online entry submissions in selected categories. Aramex has also been roped to make entry submissions more convenient.
