Day 6 of DIAC’s ‘Week of Welcome’ has been reserved for the Souq Carnival. More than twenty stalls will be set up on the 17th October 2010, for both corporate enterprises and students.

The concept is simple - Interested students from any DIAC university can book a stall which is set at an affordable rate. At the stall students can sell their merchandise like homemade cookies, paintings, books, handmade jewellery etc.  The best part is that students get to keep their profits.

The event is a unique opportunity for students to experiment their entrepreneurial skills alone or with a group of friends. The souq provides a chance to test your marketing skills by promoting your own stall in DIAC & through social media – the perfect starting platform for any student interested in establishing their own business.

Stalls are being booked by students and universities and interested students should quickly make up their minds and book a table before it’s all gone. Students from University of Wollongong in Dubai were enthusiastic about setting up a stall.

The Souq Carnival begins at 9 am on Sunday, October 17, and ends at 5 pm. Students interested in reserving stalls can contact Student Hub at Block 6.
