Students contemplating future careers. Photo by Sambhram Pattanayak
It’s the end of the academic year and students seem to be gulping down chunks of helter-skelter to find the perfect career. It seemed that the only place students could seek salvation was the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) 2011. Manipal University  Dubai took part with a large stall at the exhibition to guide students to an efficacious career.

Parents and students twitched their eyebrows as they synched information into a guide for their children. It doesn’t seem like an easy decision when fees, faculty, goodwill and course outlines equal to rational. Final year students of Manipal University Dubai answered students' queries and edified them with insightful information.

Along with final year students, counsellors from the admissions and career counselling offices represented Manipal University Dubai. Parents found it easy to make them privy of all the queries they had. The Manipal University Dubai stall had a number of pamphlets on individual courses, brochures, career guides and a TV set up which had a department montage and vox-pops.

We hope to see some of the students in the new academic year at our new campus at Dubai International Academic City.
