A 'Chic Green' model home by Blanchard

An empty room can be creatively designed and its appearance was only enhanced by the work of an interior designer, who is an expert on spatial understanding of viable building materials.

Various measures are undertaken to promote an eco-friendly lifestyle among individuals whether on a personal or professional level.

In order to nurture green living, interior designers must keep sustainability in mind by making use of materials that can be re-used and recycled.

Blanchard, an interior designing and architecture company based in London and Dubai has started the initiative known as ‘Chic Green’ at INDEX’11. The model homes projected at the event have been created using natural and recycled resources, for example the wooden flooring is made from timber and more trees have been re-planted in the forest, the paint is water-based and contains no traces of chemicals.

Re-furnishing is one of the major factors that contribute to depletion of resources. Organizations in the UAE are however increasingly acknowledging their responsibility towards the environment and playing an imperative role in protecting and conserving its resources.
