The 2011 Dubai International Motor Show, being the Middle East’s largest automobile exhibition, opened its doors on Thursday, 10th November 2011 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, the event saw huge crowds of car lovers entering the show.

The Motor Show serves as a platform for the world’s top motoring manufacturers like Mazda, Honda, Jeep, Nissan, Land-Rover, Toyota, and many more to showcase their latest models and innovative concept cars.

Once inside, visitors can see appealing bodies, polished wheels and captivating engines around. Among them, Mitsubishi, the Japanese car company that takes part in the Motor Show every year chose to go eco-friendly with their “Going Green” concept and their slogan ‘Drive @ Earth’.

According to Mr. Nassib Nassar, the marketing manager of Mitsubishi Dealership Company in UAE they were creating cars that were user friendly, and had newer technology with low emission to decrease pollution.

“We are making cars that will make a cleaner earth for the future generations and they will actually drive on the earth as the slogan says,” said Mr. Nassar.

“There are more people attending this time than the crowd last year, Mitsubishi Pajero has become the popular car that they are asking for.” He replied in reference to this year’s response to their show.
