Mourning for the loss of Saudi’s Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, an official announcement was made by the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, officially postponing the National Day Celebrations for ten days. 

The celebration which were to begin from 24th October 2011 up till 2nd December 2011, have now been postponed to 1st November, throughout the seven emirates. This move is a mark of respect to the Saudi’s Prince Sultan’s death. Meanwhile the launch of the website of the 40th UAE National Day will be held on 2nd December.
