A seminar on ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ was held on 22 December 2011 organized by the third year Media and communications students as part of their module, Media literacy and criticism.

The interactive seminar invited speaker Ms. Sandhya Sundaran who successfully educated students on the basics of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), its effect on environment and reasons why companies adopt them in the first place.

Focusing on the pros and cons of CSR and the reason why CSR is done in the first place, Ms. Sundaran said that CSR is done for the welfare of the people and to highlight the various environmental issues faced today.
