The Department of Engineering organized a one day workshop under IEEE for the students of Electronics & Communication, Mechatronics, Mechanical and Computer Science Engineering on 21st December 2011. A total of nine staff members and 16 students attended the workshop and found it very useful and informative.
Mr. Mina Wagih and Mr. Islam Sayed helping the students to work on COMSOL Multiphysics software
The workshop was conducted by key speaker Mr. Mina Wagih and the COMSOL Software Representative in Arab Countries, Mr. Islam Sayed, the representatives from the Elnady Engineering and Agencies, Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt.
The workshop was split into two sessions, morning session from 09:00 am to 12:00 noon and afternoon session from 01:00 pm to 03:30pm. In the morning session, Mr. Mina Wagih introduced the COMSOL Multiphysics software to the audience and then demonstrated the application of COMSOL Multiphysics software in different engineering fields.
Mr. Mina Wagih in the morning session “Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics”
The post lunch session was held in the computer lab where the attendees were made to experience the power of COMSOL Multiphysics software practically. In this session the attendees worked on COMSOL Multiphysics software to build models and solve some of the scientific and engineering problems like Parallel Plate Capacitor, Stresses on a wrench, Heat sink and Electrical heating and thermal stresses in busbar, etc.
