The
Department of Engineering had organized a one day workshop under CST for the
students of 3rd,5th and 7th semester of Electronics
& Communication Engineering on 14th November 2012. A total of nine staff members and 45 students
had attended the workshop and found it very useful and informative.

The workshop was conducted by the key
speaker Dr.-Ing.
Mohamed El-Hadidy, Research Group leader at the Duisburg-Essen University ,CST-Middle
East General Manager and Dr.-Ing. Marko Walter, CST-AG Sales Director,
MEA, SE, NA and Dipl.-Ing. Tobias Glahn, CST-AG Senior Application
Engineering and Agencies, Sheraton Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt.
The workshop was done in two sessions,
first session from 9:00 to 10: 20am and second session from 10:30am to 12:00
noon. In the first session, Dr.-Ing. Mohamed
El-Hadidy introduced the CST workshop and Dr.-Ing. Marko Walter
explains the tools and application of CST software. In the second
session, Dipl.-Ing. Tobias Glahn, demonstrated CST software to
build models and solve some of the scientific and engineering problems.
1) CST workshop covered
wide verities of applications [Antennas, Electronics, Low Frequencies,
Electrical Power Engineering and Mechanical engineering as well].
2) CST provides the
excellent tools for undergraduate studies and advanced research labs as well.
3) CST Microwave Studio,
CST PCB, CST Cable Studio, CST Low Frequency, CST Multi-Physics, CST and
Structural Solvers is introduced in this workshop.
