Dubai Cares' Walk For Education concluded it's 8th edition at the Dubai Creek Park attracting
thousands of UAE citizens, locals and visitors on 17th February, Friday.

Dubai Cares is a non profit organisation established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin
Rashid Al Maktoum in 2007. In its span of 10 years, it has reached out to numerous developing
countries like Bangladesh, Bosnia and Sudan providing education, building schools and improving
sanitation standards.

Students and Faculty members of Manipal University Dubai at the Walk for Education organised by Dubai Cares on Friday.



Mr. Mohammed Al Shehhi, official spokesperson for the event, spoke about the importance of
education. He said "What we believe is what our leaders believe. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed
is our leader and believes education is the best tool to end poverty. Whenever you educate a
generation, you're educating an entire country."


Al Shehhi also spoke about all of Dubai Cares' work in its history of 10 years and how they have a
big role this year, since it's the 'year of giving.' He said 'We're responsible for providing children and
developing countries with access to education, so we provide books, infrastructure and food as well.
"We have reached to over 45 countries in the last 10 years and we make programs in line with
government strategies, providing school material alongside infrastructure."






'Walk For Education' is one of Dubai Cares' annual initiatives and includes family oriented
