Gulf and Safa Dairy are one of the oldest dairy companies in the United Arab Emirates. It has its existence in the country for over 50 years, much before the Emirates was formed. It is known for its ability to cater to the diverse and multicultural society of the United Arab Emirates. Its existence signifies its dedication in manufacturing and achieving customer satisfaction.

The Company started off as a small operation in Sharjah in 1964, supplying milk to the British Forces. It later moved its operations to Rashidiya, supplying milk in Tetra packs of 500ml and 250ml. At that time, Yogurt and Laban production had also started under ‘Gulf Dairies’ brand name. In 1971, Gulf Dairies and Safa Dairies merged into forming the Gulf and Safa Dairies. After the merge, it started its domination in the dairy sector of the Emirates. It launched Laban UP, and later on started the manufacturing of Cheese, Labneh, Juices and Full Cream. Laban UP became a leader in Laban category in the Emirates, rated as a very strong brand. By 1980, it started associating itself with Sterilac Dairy, thereby acquiring the Sterilac yoghurt, leading the way in Yoghurts. By 2002, it started producing Long Life juices and milks in Tetra Packs.

With its branching out and extensions, it has achieved various success at different levels altogether. They have their product sold in over 15 countries in addition to acquiring full automation and retail control over its product. It has also expanded its offices in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

It is also one of the sponsors for the upcoming Media and Communication Research and Analysis Wing (MCRAW) 2017 Conference held at Manipal University Dubai on May 2nd, 2017.
